By bike to the "Wassererhof"
And now the time has come!!
The bicycle path from Bolzano or Bressanone to Atzwang has been completed. Children, adults and even elderly people can finally reach the Wassererhof by bike.
From Bolzano (Loreto Bridge) starting point Loreto Bridge the distance to the Wassererhof is app. 15 km, this is easily manageable within 1 hour. From Bressanone/Brixen it’s a bit longer, 30 km. The bike path runs mainly ( 80%) on the old railway route and passes many old tunnels ( they are lighted 24 hours). Along the route you can observe the flow of the river Eisack.
Once you get to Atzwang, cross the river on the old wooden bridge and after a steepy ascend of 700 m you reach the Wassererhof, where you find out that the tour was worth cycling.
